Begin your Jiu Jitsu journey in our renowned Beginners course. Get to grips with the basics in a class designed specifically for people new to the sport.
This program is designed for the complete beginner who has never trained Jiu Jitsu before. During this course you will learn all of the fundamental positions, submissions and movements that make Jiu Jitsu work.
We offer four classes per week with this program and although all four classes are open to students, full attendance is not compulsory .
When you sign up for the course you will begin with lots of other beginners in the same boat as yourself.
Jiu Jitsu can be practiced with the Kimono (Gi) and without (NoGi). NOGI is a faster paced version of Jiu Jitsu with some different techniques in play, we incorporate both types of classes in our beginner programs .
You can do our beginner classes for as long as you wish, then once you feel ready you can progress into our MIXED LEVELS classes. Here you can expand your technical knowledge and physical abilities while you progress through the belt ranks.

The beginners course was a brilliant intro to jujitsu. The club has a great welcoming atmosphere from the beginning, mixed with a real competitive spirit. Ben has a great way of explaining the movements and positions and covers lots of material. Whether you're new to the sport or looking to find a partner to roll with, you'll find it at Primal BJJ.
